Work Methods
The professional cooperation of EGNATON members must be well organised, planned and prepared structurally and as a process
in the interest of the economic use of resources.
The working groups represent the engine room of the technical work at EGNATON.
European experts routinely discuss well-known topics, formulate open questions, and work out sustainable solutions.
Whenever EGNATON has to deal with particular and, above all, more complex sustainability issues that exceed the technical framework or the time budget of the working groups, we organise work into separate projects.
Examples are the projects CUBE (the planning of a virtual laboratory building) and the digital transformation in the laboratory world.
Workshops are used to develop the foundations for new sustainability topics.
Typically, such workshops at EGNATON also fall outside the technical or time frame of the routine work of working groups or projects.
Often, however, it is still necessary to involve additional external experts in order to sufficiently develop the respective topic for EGNATON.

Laboratories change dynamically, partly continuously, and partly disruptively.
EGNATON strives for sustainable answers to emergent changes.
EGNATON's goal is to create international leadership for sustainable German-European laboratory technologies.
